East Kent Steam Railway hit by arsonists

The East Railway has announced that they have ben hit by vandals and arsonists at their base.

The railway, based in Sheperdswell, is gutted to find their hard work destroyed after their work to make the a place for everyone to enjoy.

This latest saddening news to cover has seen the railways equipment, power tools, generator, recovered artefacts and more.

The East Kent Railway is asking donations towards the cost of the replacement equipment and for offers, if anyone has any equipment for disposal.

  • This is sad reprehensible vandalism and destruction that is mindless and sick demonstrating the pathological feeble mindness of the perpetrators

  • Sickening….heritage railways are an easy target for mindless idiots, the cost of cctv and other robust forms of security beyond precious resources. It is to hoped the culprits be caught.
