has announced that there will be some amendments to the timetable in December.

Due to engineering work to prepare for the introduction of TfL's new train line to Barking Riverside, there will be no c2c service on the Rainham line in either direction on Friday 27 December and Saturday 28 December.

Passengers are therefore being asked to plan ahead and to be flexible in their travel plans where they can be during this period.

The following stations will be affected on 27 and 28 December:

  • Dock: Station closed. Please use local bus services to Grays or Barking
  • Rainham: Station closed. Rail replacement buses will run to Grays and Upminster
  • Purfleet: Station closed. Rail replacement buses will run to Grays and Upminster
  • Grays: Reduced rail services, with only two trains per hour to and from London via Ockendon. Replacement buses run to Purfleet and Rainham

As with every year, there is also no c2c service across the entire route on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

There will also be a special timetable in operation throughout the Christmas and New Year period.
