Steam locomotive to steam through Middlesbrough this Wednesday

Steam locomotive 60009 Union of South Africa will be back on the mainline once again, heading from the East Lancashire Railway to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Please bear in mind this is a light engine movement and can be changed and cancelled at any time.

Departing Bury at 08:43, the locomotive will pass through Mills Hill (09:36), Moston (09:40), Miles Platting (09:54), Manchester Victoria (09:58), Salford Central (10:01), Eccles (10:07), Wigan North Western (10:44), Leyland (11:03), Preston (11:11), Lancaster (11:35), Carnforth DUGL (11:42), Carnforth (12:06), Bentham (12:30), Giggleswick (12:48), Long Preston (12:56), Hellifield Goods Loop (12:58), Skipton (13:29), Keighley (13:43), Shipley (13:53), Woodlesford (15:27), Castleford (15:36), Church Fenton (16:01), York (16:53), Thirsk (17:25), Yarm (17:53), Thornaby (18:05), Middlesbrough (18:25), Marton (18:39), Gypsy Lane (18:42), Nunthorpe (18:46), Battersby (19:00), Castleton Moor (19:44), Glaisdale (19:58), Egton (20:08) and Grosmont (20:12), where it will head on to North Yorkshire Moors Railway property.
