Saturday Surprise for Sheffield residents as steam locomotive set to pass through

Steam locomotive No.34046 Braunton will be back in steam on the mainline and will be passing through Sheffield on Saturday 13th September 2019.

The West Country Class locomotive is on a railtour this Saturday. 34046 is hauling a tour from Crewe to York.

The locomotive will depart Crewe at 08:14, and will then pass through Hartford (08:34), Warrington Bank Quay (08:53), Eccles (09:36), Manchester Victoria (09:50), Guide Bridge (10:15), New Mills Central (11:02), Edale (11:25), Grindleford (11:36), Sheffield (11:53), Moorthorpe (12:24), Church Fenton (13:22) and York at 13:40.

The return journey will see the locomotive depart York at 16:51 and will then pass through Church Fenton (17:04), Wakefield Kirkgate (17:31), Hebden Bridge (18:23), Rochdale (19:00), Miles Platting (19:53), Manchester Victoria (19:58), Salford Central (20:06), Eccles (20:19), Newton-le-Willows (20:35), Warrington Bank Quay (20:48), Hartford (21:08) and Crewe (21:29).
