c2c has announced that it is running its first ‘Go Green' next week to help raise awareness of climate change.
They will be sharing their commitment to making their impact on the environment as small as possible.
As part of the initiatives, c2c is encouraging customers to leave the car behind and take the train by offering a 50% discount code during the week, for use on off-peak tickets bought for travel between 01 October -03 November.
Some of the ways that c2c will be showing their commitment for the environment over green week is sharing wildflower seeds for station staff to scatter around stations, seeking advice from the Essex Wildlife Trust on how to use disused land around the railways and stations to protect local wildlife, and talking about more eco friendly ways for customers to get to and from the station.
