Work has progressed on two fronts, with more Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings and framework taking place recently.

CAD Drawings and Tender

Both the leading bogie and trailing have been added to the drawings to allow clearances to be measured and used when building these components.

The wing plates for the tender have been welded onto their section of steel. This will now let the next task begin of cutting down the edge to begin.

Locomotive Frame

The horizontal frame stretchers have been removed to fix packers to them. The drill couldn’t reach them while attached to the frame. Once this is complete, the stretches can be returned to allow their bolts to be fitted. With the steel bushes ready, the brake hangers had these bushes fixed in place.
