A 10.25″ gauge steam locomotive has returned to steam following an overhaul at the Watford Miniature Railway.
Pilgrim has joined shed mate Marri at the miniature railway, which can be found at Cassiobury Park in Watford.
The locomotive was built in 1980 by D King in Norfolk and was originally built for the Wells and Walsingham Light Railway. When it became owned by Stuart Madgin, it was based at the Knebworth House Miniature Railway.
Pilgrim has now returned to service after boiler and regulator work at the Denver Light Railway in Birmingham.
Rosters are currently showing that Pilgrim will be rostered for Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday running, these being the 25th and 26th August 2019. She will be running alongside Marri in Cassiobury Park.
Also later on in the year, the Watford Miniature Railway will be holding a Heritage Gala Weekend. All the home fleet will be running with a chance to see Fenlow sister locomotives, ‘Rhuddlan Castle' and ‘Conway Castle' running alongside each other. ‘Marri' and ‘Pilgrim' will also be running alongside each other, with the hope of a guest locomotive.
