Steam locomotieve 60009 Union of South Africa heading for Weymouth this Thursday

Steam locomotive No.60009 Union of South Africa will be back in steam on the mainline and will be passing through Basingstoke and Eastleigh on Thursday, 25th July 2019.

The A4 Class locomotive is on a railtour this Thursday. 60009 is hauling a tour from London Victoria to Weymouth.

The locomotive will depart London Victoria at 08:45, and will then pass through Clapham Junction (09:02), Brentford (09:16), Feltham (09:26), Staines (09:31), Woking (10:03), Farnborough (10:19), Winchfield (10:28), Basingstoke (10:52), Winchester (11:16), Eastleigh (11:34), Southampton Central (11:52), Beaulieu Road (12:12), Bournemouth (12:50), Poole (13:09), Wareham (13:16), Moreton (13:23) and Weymouth at 13:45.

The return journey will see the 60009 depart Weymouth at 16:35, and will then pass through Moreton (16:57), Wareham (17:13), Poole (17:27), Bournemouth (17:46), Brockenhurst (18:06), Southampton Central (18:21), Romsey (18:45), Andover (19:26), Basingstoke (19:52), Brookwood (20:28), Woking (20:46), Staines (21:19), Richmond (21:39), Clapham Junction (21:52) and London Victoria at 22:08.
