Steam locomotive heading for Weymouth this Tuesday

Steam locomotive No.35018 British India Line will be back in steam on the mainline and will be passing through Basingstoke and Salisbury on Tuesday, 9th July 2019.

The Merchant Navy Class locomotive is on a railtour this Tuesday. 35018 is hauling a tour from London Victoria to Weymouth.

The locomotive will depart London Victoria at 08:45, and will then pass through Clapham Junction (09:02), Brentford (09:16), Feltham (09:26), Woking (10:03), Farnborough (10:19), Basingstoke (10:39), Andover (11:06), Salisbury (11:36), Gillingham (12:43), Templecombe (13:05) and Yeovil Pen Mill at 13:42.

Here 35018 will be serviced, and the train will leave Yeovil Pen Mill. Departing Yeovil Pen Mill at 14:29, the train will pass through Dorchester West (15:13) before arriving into Weymouth at 15:25.

The return journey will see the 35018 depart Weymouth at 17:39, and will then pass through Moreton (18:01), Wareham (18:13), Poole (18:23), Bournemouth (18:34), Brockenhurst (18:52), Southampton Central (19:41), Eastleigh (19:54), Basingstoke (21:01), Brookwood (21:29), Woking (21:47), Staines (22:19), Richmond (22:37), Clapham Junction (22:57) and London Victoria at 23:09.
