The has released a statement regarding their GWR Manor, 7802 Bradley Manor, which is currently at the .

On Sunday 7th July, 7802 Bradley Manor suffered a broken piston rod whilst working the 10.15 Bishops Lydeard to Minehead service on the West Somerset Railway.

The West Somerset Railway dealt with the situation very well, recovering the train and locomotive and towing it to Bishops Lydeard.

Unfortunately, 7802 has suffered significant damage and has now been withdrawn from service for an investigation and examination before a repair can be made.

It is likely that 7802 will be out of service for a considerable time.

7802 Bradley Manor is normally based on the Severn Valley Railway but is on hire to the West Somerset Railway for this summer season.
