Steam locomotive 60163 Tornado heading for Scarborough this Saturday

Steam locomotive 60163 ‘Tornado’ will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in London and Scarborough on Saturday 15th June 2019.

The A1 locomotive is hauling ‘The Yorkshire Pullman’ from London Kings Cross to Scarborough.

The railtour departs London Kings Cross behind the steam locomotive at approximately 08:14 am.

The railtour will then pass through Alexandra Palace (08:23), Welwyn Garden City (08:41), Stevenage (08:50), Sandy (09:10), Peterborough (10:09), Grantham (10:52), Newark North Gate (11:07), Doncaster (12:34), York (13:11), Seamer (13:59) and Scarborough (14:09).

The return journey will see Tornado depart at 16:00. The train will then pass through Malton (16:27), York (17:06), Doncaster (17:49), Newark North Gate (18:38), Grantham (19:15), Peterborough (19:48), Hitchin (21:14), Potters Bar (21:47) and London Kings Cross (22:20).
