Steam locomotive 45690 Leander heading for Scarborough this Saturday

Steam locomotive 45690 Leander will be back on the mainline this Saturday as it heads to Scarborough.

Leander is hauling a Railway Touring Company tour, which originates in Manchester.

Departing Manchester Victoria at 06:35 behind 45690, the locomotive will pass through Denton (06:58), Stockport (07:46), Hazel Grove (08:06), Edale (08:27), Hathersage (08:37), Sheffield (09:25), Swinton (11:14), Church Fenton (11:52), York (12:08), Malton (12:29), Seamer (12:57) and Scarborough (13:06)..

The return journey will see Leander depart Scarborough at 16:01. The train will then pass through Seamer (16:07), York (17:04), Church Fenton (17:33), Moorthorpe (18:50), Sheffield (19:28), Edale (19:56), Stockport (20:21), Miles Platting (21:08) and Manchester Victoria at 21:12.
