The Nene Valley Railway has announced that Austerity No.3193 should be visiting the line on hire from the Bressingham Steam and Gardens.
3193's Visit
Due to traffic requirements at Llangollen Railway, the hire period for Great Western Railway Tank No.6430 has been cut short unfortunately.
In light of this, the NVR are now finalising an agreement for 3193 to run on the heritage line based at Wansford Station.
Before 3193 can begin hauling passenger trains on NVR, finishing touches and ‘running in' will need to be carried out on arrival.

Friday 5th of July 2019 sees the NVR host their Goods Freight Driver Experience. A fantastic day for any steam enthusiast, this experience allows you to take control of either Austerity 3193 or Southern Railway “Battle of Britain” Class No.34081 “92 Squadron” (subject to availability) at hauling a freight train down the line.
A theory lesson before your trip and a light refreshment is provided, with whole experience costing only £120 per person.
