LNER B1 1264 has arrived back at its home base of the after a little holiday south.

1264 has been on a holiday to the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Steam Railway, where it starred at their steam gala.

You may ask why the B1 was transported using a low loader? This because, despite the locomotive having a mainline certificate, the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway does not have a mainline connection available.

The locomotive is now ready for use on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway throughout the summer of trains between Pickering and Grosmont and onto Whitby. They will be running the Gold timetable, which is available here.
