Now a complete locomotive, Great Western Railway Small Mogul No.9351 will soon begin ‘running in' before fully entering traffic.

As can be seen from the main photo, 9351 has now been moved outside in preparation for the first fire to be lit in its boiler.

The loco has been checked all over to ensure everything is ready, such as all wash out plugs are present and oil feeders are set correctly.

All going well, 9351 should be on the move under its own steam soon.

Tender

The biggest progress on 9351's own tender is the tank and frame have now been lowed onto a new set of wheels.

The previous wheelsets were life expired. While suspended in the air, the opportunity was taken to carry out some repairs to the underside of the frame.
