Class 33 locomotive to haul WSR services this Sunday

The West Somerset Railway has announced that the Class 33 Crompton D6566 will haul services on the . The services are planned for Sunday 2nd June.

D6566 will haul the 11.00 Bishops Lydeard to Minehead service, along with an additional 20 miles between Minehead and Williton added to the timetable in order to boost the mileage.

The additional service will leave Minehead at 13.25 calling at Dunster at 13.33, Blue Anchor at 13.50, Watchet 14.40 and will arrive at Williton.

It will then later return back to Minehead, and will leave Williton at 14.22, Watchet 14.29, Blue Anchor 14.50, Dunster 14.57 arriving back in Minehead at 15.05. The service will unfortunately not stop at Washford or Doniford. D6566 will then return back to Bishops Lydeard on the 15.25 service which is advertised on their timetable.

Steam services will still be available on this day.

The West Somerset Railways are offering tickets at a reduced rate for those who buy tickets in advance.
