The East Somerset Railway has released an update on the overhaul working taking place on 5239 Goliath.
The boiler for the locomotive has passed its hydraulic exam, which took place last Friday.
Now, the team have lit the fire in the locomotive and has started steam testing.
This now means that the locomotive is one step further towards returning to passenger service.
After many months of update articles (see them all here), this is pleasing to hear, and we look forward to this locomotive returning to the Dartmouth Steam Railway.
