Where and when to see steam locomotive 60103 Flying Scotsman this weekend

Flying Scotsman will be hauling the last stage of the Great Britain tour this Saturday.

This is the final day of the 9 day tour, The Great Britain XII.

Departing Scarborough at 09:05, the locomotive will head via Seamer (09:12) and Malton (09:31) to get to York, where it will arrive at 10:01.

Departing York at 10:04, the locomotive will head south, heading via Church Fenton (10:17), Sherburn-in-Elmet (10:19), Doncaster (11:10), Meadowhall (11:32), Sheffield (12:20), Chesterfield (12:38), Derby (13:16), Burton-on-Trent (13:30), Tamworth (13:44), Coleshill Parkway (14:04), Tyseley (14:51), Dorridge (15:04), Banbury (15:46), Oxford (16:09), Reading (17:34), Southall (18:11), Old Oak Common (18:18) and finally London Paddington at 18:24.

  • Hi Paul I believe it’s going through today as we are waiting to see it now, it’s delayed at the moment so no idea of actual timings near Banbury but is due there about 5.30 / good luck

  • i got a very late notification that the scotsman was to come through banbury on the saturday of the 4th may 2019 , deep joy i thought , then i saw it was posted some 7.5 hours after it had been though , i was extremely gutted as i wanted my visiting family and grand kids to see it for them selves , can we please have more notice of events coming up .

  • When and where is the Flying Scotsman and some of the other steam trains visiting Scotland. Has I have notice that there isn’t any thing, apart from the Jacobite and Bo’ness railway museum. And I am a real fan of the old steam railway engine so much so I would be in the National Railway Museum. York. Every week end when lives down in Hull or York. If not there York Minister. Please can you help.
