MerseyRail has announced travel advice for Liverpool FCs victory parades if the team is successful in their competitions.

Following an impressive football season, plans are now in place for two victory parades should Liverpool Football Club win the Premier League and the Champions League Final.

Due to the amount of planning involved, these parades need to be arranged in advance.

The best way to see the action will be to travel by public transport.

will be running a normal timetable on both days, with six-car services running wherever possible.

If the Reds are successful in either competition, parades will be as follows:

  • Premier League win – Monday 13th May – 4pm start
  • Champions League final victory – Sunday 2nd June – 4pm start

Travel advice:

People wanting to travel on the Wirral line before, during and after the parade should get on and off at Liverpool Central station.

Northern line passengers should use Moorfields station.

If large crowds gather in and around James Street station, a drop-off service only will run and passengers will need to use Liverpool Central for Wirral line services.
