The Didcot Railway Centre has announced that the Swindon Panel will be operating this Bank Holiday Weekend.
The panel will be operating on Saturday 25, Sunday 26 and Monday 27 May in The Signalling Centre, during their Push and Pull weekend, featuring 1450.
The team from the Swindon Panel Society will be explaining how it all works.
There is nothing extra to pay to visit the Swindon Panel once you have paid for entry to Didcot Railway Centre.
The Swindon panel controlled signalling over a large portion of the Great Western Main Line between 1968 when it was installed until 2016 when it was finally decommissioned.
It was then moved by members of the Swindon Panel Society to the new Signalling Centre building at Didcot.
