Steam locomotive 60163 Tornado heading for Chester this Saturday

Steam locomotive 60163 Tornado will be returning to the mainline again this Saturday as it heads a railtour to Chester.

Departing North Road at 08:20, the train will pass through Darlington (08:26), Thirsk (08:59), York (09:37), Church Fenton (09:54), Wakefield Kirkgate (10:27), Brighouse (11:08), Sowerby Bridge (11:15), Hebden Bridge (11:21), Burnley Manchester Road (11:43), Accrington (11:52), Blackburn (12:01), Leyland (12:27), Wigan North Western (12:41), Warrington Bank Quay (13:03), Frodsham (13:16), and finally Chester at 13:35.

At Chester, the locomotive will be serviced ahead of the return journey.

The return journey will see Tornado depart Chester at 16:35. The train will take a different route back to Doncaster. It will pass through Northwich (17:10), Chinley (18:16), Grindleford (18:39), Sheffield (19:08), Barnsley (20:19), Wakefield Kirkgate (20:36), Church Fenton (21:13), York (21:28), Thirsk (22:23), Darlington (22:47), and North Road at 22:54.

These are advised timings, however, we must reiterate, you must not trespass on the railway. Please keep to public access points, such as stations! It is illegal and dangerous if your trespass on to the railway.
