North Norfolk’s Mixed Traction Gala is approaching

Join North Norfolk Railway for their Mixed Transaction Gala. Which is happening between the 14th-16th June.

The event will see a variety of visiting and home fleet diesel and steam locomotives and an intense service will be in operation.

Daytime travel tickets will be available as well as an evening Pie and Chip train on Friday evening. There will also be a Fish and Chip special on Saturday evening. Both food specials will be hauled by classic diesel traction.

A variety of rolling stock from the Railways collection will be in use and include the Vintage Set, the newly restored Gresely buffet car which will be serving real ale daily, the suburban set, goods set and of course the ever popular MK1 Sets.

The RBR will be serving its famous all-day breakfast.

Visiting Class 33, 33063 R J Mitchell, courtesy of South East Locomotive Group and Spa Valley Railway. 33063 is named after the designer of the Spitfire aircraft.

The following are visiting mainline locomotive courtesy of DRS. Class 20, 20227, Sherlock Holmes, Class 37, D6732, Class 08, D3935.

Both Class 101 DMUs will be making their public debut as a four-car train. As well as two steam locomotives from the home fleet.

  • Hello there, you may want to check some spellings in the first paragraph.

    I’ve never heard of a “Transaction” gala before, it must the new thing!
