Work has been progressing very well on 72010’s Frame at CTL Seal based in Sheffield.

Frame

Early May saw the internal components of the engine’s frame attached to the frame, which then allowed the main plates to be lifted over internal components.

Once in place, the next task was to check each part was in the correct position before temporary bolts were fitted.

Before the next sections of the frame can be fitted, the hornguides need to be machined first. This is due to the length with extension plates is too long for the Machine Station.
