Where and when to see steam locomotive 6233 Duchess of Sutherland in Preston this Monday

Steam locomotive 6233 Duchess of Sutherland will be out on the mainline tomorrow as it hauls Day 3 of the Railway Touring Company’s Great Britain tour.

This 9-day tour will take in some stunning scenery and will see different locomotives haul the train throughout its journey.

Departing Taunton at 08:20, 6233 will pass through Yatton (09:01), Bristol Temple Meads (09:17), Stapleton Road (09:29), Filton Abbey Wood (09:36), Patchway (09:51), Cwmbran (11:04), Abergavenny (11:38), Hereford (12:08), Ludlow (13:13), Church Stretton (13:31) and Shrewsbury at 14:05.

Departure from Shrewsbury will see the tour head via Chirk (16:15), Ruabon (16:21), Wrexham General (16:29), Chester (17:26), Helsby (17:46), Frodsham (17:49), Warrington Bank Quay (18:19), Wigan North Western (18:43), Euxton Balshaw Lane (18:51) and finally Preston at 19:10.
