Steam trains over the Harry Potter viaduct this Easter!

45407 "The Lancashire Fusilier" Hauling The Jacobite // Credit Scottish Landscape and Wildlife Photography

This Easter, West Coast Railways will be back in Scotland, operating their Jacobite steam trains.

This Easter, the trains will be hauled by newly overhauled LMS Black 5 No.45407 ‘The Lancashire Fusilier’.

The tour will depart Fort William at 10:15, and will then head via Corpach (10:24), Loch Eil (10:33), Locheilside (10:42), Glenfinnan (10:54), Arisaig (12:01), Morar (12:19) and Mallaig (12:26).

45407 will then run around its train, before departing at 14:10 and then passing through Morar (14:22), Arisaig (14:38), Glenfinnan (15:19), Loch Eil (15:39), and Fort William (16:03).

These timings are valid for Friday 19th April to Sunday 21st April. Timings for all these dates can be found below!

  • Frequents checking with UK Steam Tours will keep you updated initially with dates of tours crossing the bridge and with detailed timings nearer the time

  • Could you please advise me of the times/dates when the steam locomotive will be journeying out of Edinburgh and travelling north over the Forth railway bridge. Thank you.
