Steam locomotive heading for Chester this Weekend

Steam locomotive 7029 Clun Castle will be hauling another tour since returning to public mainline running tomorrow as it heads for Chester.

Departing Dorridge at 08:27, the locomotive will haul her excursion via Solihull (08:35), Tyseley (08:46), Birmingham New Street (09:14), Smethwick Galton Bridge (09:29), Sandwell and Dudley (09:30), Wolverhampton (09:58), Stafford (10:22), Madeley (10:40), Crewe (10:51), Beeston Castle (11:18) and finally Chester (11:30).

At Chester, the locomotive will be serviced ahead of the return journey.

On the return journey, the locomotive will depart Chester at 15:40 and will head via a different route as the outbound journey, heading through Wrexham General (16:00), Ruabon (16:19), Chirk (16:25), Shrewsbury (17:00), Telford Central (17:33), Cosford (17:45), Wolverhampton (18:02), Birmingham New Street (19:11), Bordesley (19:33), Tyseley (19:48), Solihull (19:57) and finally Dorridge at 20:06.
