The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways have announced that they will be running footplate rides this Easter.

These are FREE and let you step on board and get a drivers eye view of the engine.

The footplate rides will be available at Caernarfon and Porthmadog stations, allowing you to have a ride wherever you are heading.

Footplate rides will run on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

At Caernarfon, Hugh Napier will be giving footplate rides in the station area from 10:30 until 16:00.

At Porthmadog, Linda will be giving footplate rides from the end of Platform 1 between 10:30 until 16:00.

Whilst these rides are free, there will be a donation box, with all donations going to the upkeep of this fine railway.
