The West Somerset Railway‘s diesel gala is just over a month away and the list of the locomotives attending has been finalised and is as follows.
This list below features all locomotives. Of course, all locomotives are subject to availability.
The WSR's gala will run from Thursday 20th June – Saturday 22nd June. Sunday 23rd will feature a mixed traction day.
Home Fleet
- Class 14 D9526.
- Class 33 D6566
- Class 33 D6575.
- Class 47 D1661 “North Star” – Not able to haul passenger trains due to the WSR's recent restrictions on the classes 45/46/47 of locomotives.
- Hymek Class 35 D7017
- Hymek Class 35 D7018
Visiting locomotives
- Class 25 D7535 – The loco is normally based at the South Devon Railway, Buckfastleigh having moved there from its former home on the nearby Dartmouth Steam Railway in 2018.
- Class 31 31163 – will appear as 97203
- Class 37 D6948 from the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway. (visiting the WSR for an extended period between late April/early May and July (dates to be confirmed) and will operate at the diesel gala and also the WSR's 40th anniversary of the reopening to Bishops Lydeard event on 8th/9th June.)
- Class 73's (TBC) – from GB Railfreight.
