The Swanage Railway has announced that 59003 ‘Yeoman Highlander' will be visiting them in 2019.
59003 is visiting for the diesel gala, which is to be held on the 10th, 11th and 12th May 2019.
59003 joins a Class 73/1 (from GB Railfreight), Class 50 50007 ‘Hercules' (courtesy of the Class 50 Alliance Ltd and GB Railfreight), Class 44 44004 ‘Great Gable' (from the Peak Locomotive Company), Class 25 25185 from the South Devon Railway, Class 26 26007 courtesy of Victor Krozeniewicz, and Class 33s 33012 and 33111.
59003 returned to the UK in 2014 thanks to GB Railfreight after residing in Germany for 17 years. Following a refurbishment by Arlington Fleet Services Ltd, it returned to service in 2015.
