The East Somerset Railway has released another short update on the overhaul work taking place on 5239 Goliath.
A few milestones have been reached recently with the overhaul work.
The coupling rods have been refitted recently. This marks the final stage of a massive amount of work.
This also clears a lot of floor space, allowing for more parts to enter the workshop.
Over to the boiler, the tubes have now been expanded, and next, the tubes will need to be beaded.
This is the latest news on Goliath, and work is progressing well. We look forward to Goliath taking her first movements soon!
