Where and when to see steam locomotive 70000 Britannia in Yorkshire tomorrow

Steam locomotive 70000 Britannia will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in Crewe and York on Sunday 31st March 2019.

The Britannia locomotive is hauling an excursion from York to Crewe.

The railtour departs York at approximately 11:03 am.

The railtour will then pass through Church Fenton (11:16), Wakefield Kirkgate (11:40), Huddersfield (12:12), Marsden (12:23), Stalybridge (12:39), Stockport (13:24), Wilmslow (13:38), Sandbach (13:53) before arriving into Crewe at 14:11.

Here, 70000 is detached to the train, and a diesel train will then take the railtour the rest of the way.

The train will pass through Shrewsbury (15:55), Church Stretton (16:13), Leominster (16:38), Cwmbran (17:33), Filton Abbey Wood (18:11) and finally Bristol Temple Meads at 18:19.
