  • My partner and I boarded this train at Kettering for my birthday treat. We often go to the station to watch the engines as they take on water here but I didn’t expect to be surprised with being told we were actually going to ride on it! It was a great experience to ride at a leisurely pace watching the steam drift over the fields. The section as we passed over the Harringworth viaduct was fantastic. It was a great day and it was nice to share it with all the friendly travellers…time travellers.
