The Severn Valley Railway has announced that 1450 will be replaced by 1501 at their Spring Steam Gala.

The change is due to the repairs being completed on 1450 not being completed in time for the gala.

1501 will replace 1450 at the gala, but due to the engine not being fitted with the equipment to be connected to the auto coach, the service will not be push and pull.

The change still means that there will be 10 engines in steam for the gala, an excellent array of locomotives, I'm sure you will agree.

Timetables for the gala are now available, please click here for more information.
