The Bahamas Locomotive Society has confirmed that Coal Tank 1054 will be visiting the Severn Valley Railway for their Spring Steam Gala.
Appearing in original LNWR Livery, the tank engine is the final visiting locomotive for their Branchline Bonanza.
No. 1054 joins a cast of 11 engines, including 813, 1450, 1501, 2857, 4144, 5619, 6430, 7714, 7802 Bradley Manor and 75069.

A brief history of 1054
1054 was built in 1888 and was the 250th example of the locomotives. The locomotive worked from Aston shed in 1911 and Edge Hill in 1919, where it moved to Abergavenny in South Wales. This locomotive became part of the LMS during the grouping of 1923, becoming 7799 in 1926. It was used as a snow plough in the event of snowfall until it was taken out of storage to haul the last passenger train over the Merthyr & Abergavenny Railway. This was a special excursion organised by the Stephenson Locomotive Society which ran on 5th January 1958. The locomotive has been at various places during in preservation, but returned to steam at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway during 2012 and has been a favourite at galas around the country since.
