The East Somerset Railway has released a short update on the work being completed on steam locomotive 5239 Goliath.
Recently, work has concentrated on the boiler in the past week. A team of 5 made work of installing boiler tubes.
The work on the tubes included trial fitting, setting the tubes to the right length, marking of the tube and removing the tube before cutting it and putting it back in the same hole.
Whilst that work was going on, on top of the boiler over 100 new crown stays were fitted and set to length.
