Steam locomotive No.45231 The Sherwood Forester will be out on the mainline and be completing test runs in preparation for its first tour after overhaul.

Wednesday 6th February 2019 will see the locomotive operating on the mainline between Crewe and Chester.
The test runs will be operated by Locomotive Services TOC Ltd, who are connected to Icons of Steam – who own 45231 The Sherwood Forester.
Running on Wednesday, 45231 will operate via Beeston Castle between Crewe and Shrewsbury, and then Stafford on the return. Timings can be found below for timings for each day:
