Didcot Railway Centre has announced that Prue Leith will be launching Saint steam locomotive, Lady of Legend.

The launch will be made on Friday 5th April 2019 at 11:15am.

Prue Leith is known for being a judge on The Great British Bake Off, and also for being a former member of the British Railways Board.

The Saint class was introduced in the early 1900s and influenced passenger trains for the next 50 years. All members of the Saint class were scrapped by the 1950s, and ‘Lady of Legend' has been reconstructed at Didcot.

The museum will be open from 10:30 until 5 pm.

Normal entry fares apply.

  • Brilliant news for Didcot Museum and for Didcot. She must love trains as other famous people also have passion about trains and railways.
