Adrian Shooter has announced that his private steam railway, the Beeches Light Railway, will be closing this year.

The railway will be closing after 15 years in May this year.

However, the plan is to relocate it to another site, in the not too distant future and have it reopen in Spring 2020.

The new layout will be about 50% longer but will still feature significant gradients and other features of interest.

All the existing rolling stock will be transferred to the new location, including the steam locomotive.

Further details will be revealed in due course.
