  • “East Midlands Trains has unveiled their new waiting rooms…”
    Has they indeed.
East Midlands Trains is a company – a singular entity.
I’ve noticed that BBC reporters seem incapable of grasping this basic principle of English grammar, referring to a company (or the Government, for example) with “they” and “their” rather than “it” and “its”.
It are becoming quite irritating that others is following suit….
