The Railway Touring Company has announced that they could be a doubleheader on this weekends Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express.

61306 Mayflower recently did a loaded test run around the Carnforth circle (Carnforth – Hellifield – Blackburn – Carnforth) after its overhaul work.

The locomotive will be leading SR Merchant Navy 35018 ‘British India Line’ between Carnforth and Preston via Carlisle and the Settle and Carlisle line.

Please note: this doubleheader will only happen if 61306 Mayflower is operationally ready.
