It might be the start of a new year, but the Llangollen Railway are still running trains through the Welsh countryside.

New Year's Day saw GWR Large Prairie 5199 at the helm of the last of the Mince Pie Specials.

Thanks to George Jones for sending in these photos.

Firstly, 5199 is seen on arriving at Carrog with the 10:40 arrival from Llangollen and is then later seen at Llangollen running round her train ready to take the 13:00 Mince Pie Special out of Llangollen.
