A Day in Life with LMS Black Five Locomotive 45305 Alderman A. E. Draper on the 18th November 2018.
This was recorded on her returning weekend at the Great Central Railway at their Last Hurrah of the Season gala.
This film includes footage from a4:45 AM start to 17:50 PM finish with prepping footage, footplate footage, lineside & passing footage, double header footage with 73156 & 70013 Oliver Cromwell featuring her final train at a gala before withdrawal for an overhaul
This was the first weekend that 45305 ran since 2016, returning with her nameplates Alderman A. E. Draper
45305 Will return to mainline hauling rail tours and will be travelling around the country in 2019!

Info about 45305 Alderman A. E. Draper:
- Designed by Sir William Stanier
- Built by The Armstrong-Whitworth in Newcastle in 1936
- Numbered 5305 in 1936
- Renumbered 45305 in 1948
- She was withdrawn from BR in 1968
- She was meant to haul the 1T57 15 Guinea Special on 11th August 1968 but failed the night before with a collapsed firebox brick arch and was replaced by Black Five No. 45110
- Purchased by Albert Draper & Sons of Hull for scrap in 1968, she was the final Loco on their scrap line
- She was purchased by Albert Draper in 1968 for being the cleanest engine in his scrapyard
- She was then put under the custodianship of the Humberside Locomotive Preservation Group and was based at Hull Dairycoates MPD where she was brought back up to mainline standards
- In 1984 she was named Alderman A. E. Draper named after Albert Draper
- She left Hull Dairycoates MPD due to closure in 1992
- In1997 the Humberside Locomotive Preservation Group became the 5305 Locomotive Association
- She moved to the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway in 1994 until her boiler ticket expired
- In 1996 she then moved to RAF Binbrook in Lincolnshire
- November 1996 she then moved to the Great Central Railway where she is currently based
- In 2005 she was renamed Alderman A. E. Draper
45305's owners, the 5305 Locomotive Association are always looking for new members to help look after other locomotives, like 70013 Oliver Cromwell, D123 Derbyshire and Leicestershire Yeomanry, 30777 ‘Sir Lamiel' and D6535 who are either owned by the locomotive association or in the care of the 5305LA.
