National Rail has announced that they have begun a new trial which will help you to plan your train journeys on your phone.

Using Facebook's Messenger app, you will be able to receive updates on your journey. The app is available on most smart phones from either the Google Play or Apple App Store.

If there is disruption on your journey, or it is possible, then it will provide you with alternative routes.

All you need to do is look for for the Messenger icon when searching on www.nationalrail.co.uk

This is a really useful tool for planning your journeys. Have you used it? Let us know in the comments below and tell us how you found it!
