Steam locomotive in Penrith this Sunday – where and when to see it!

Steam locomotive No.35018 British India Line will be back in steam on the mainline and will be in Penrith on Sunday 9th December 2018.

The locomotive is hauling a Santa Special from Lancaster to Carlisle.

The locomotive will depart Lancaster at 10:45 am and will head via Oxenholme Lake District (11:10), Tebay (11:28) and Penrith (11:52) before arriving into Carlisle at 13:42.

The return railtour will leave Carlisle, bound for the Lancaster, where it will steam through Penrith (14:35), Shap (14:50), Tebay (14:57), and Oxenholme Lake District (15:11) before arriving into Lancaster at 15:50.
