The Llangollen Diesel Group has announced the new destination in which their class 37 is heading for.

This follows on from the announcement that the Class 37 was up for sale following their meeting.

The new owner of the Class 37 locomotive is Boden Rail Engineering Ltd. Boden Rail already operates class 50 locomotives on the mainline, meaning that D6940 will return to the mainline under Boden Rail.

Thanks to the sale of the locomotive, the group has raised some important funds that will allow them to repair D5310’s traction motor.

We look forward to seeing D6940 in the future, and possibly on the mainline!
