Steam Dreams have released footage showing steam locomotive 61306 Mayflower in the paint shop following repair work.
Mayflower has been out of service for some time whilst it underwent repair work at Carnforth, but this is a big sign we will see Mayflower back on the mainline soon.
She was also due to visit the Bluebell Railway for their Giants of Steam gala, but the repair wasn't ready so she couldn't attend.
It is now hoped that she will work some of the upcoming Christmas tours on the mainline, more news on that when it is announced.
This is excellent news, and we look forward to seeing Mayflower on the mainline soon!
