Steam locomotive 61306 Mayflower on the mainline today in the Lake District – where to see it!

Steam locomotive 61306 Mayflower will be out on the mainline between Carnforth and Barrow in Furness as it takes on its first test runs following repair work.

Please note: these are test runs which may be subject to change or cancellation at the last minute. Please check before heading out to see 61306 Mayflower.

Thursday 29th November 2018 will see the locomotive operating on the mainline between Carnforth and Barrow via Grange-over-Sands.

The test runs will be operated by West Coast Railways.

Departing Carnforth at 12:10, the locomotive will head via Silverdale (12:47), Arnside (12:52), Grange-over-Sands (13:00), Cark (13:05), Ulverston (13:12) and Barrow-in-Furness (13:38) before heading to Barrow C.S. where it will arrive at 13:44.

After servicing and watering, the locomotive will depart Barrow C.S. at 14:54 and will then head via Roose (15:06), Dalton (15:16), Arnside (15:47) and Carnforth (16:04) before arriving into Carnforth Steamtown at 16:54.

It is superb to see Mayflower in action once again.
