Saturday 24th November 2018 saw steam locomotive 78022 return to passenger service at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.

Working alongside the resident DMU at the railway, the green tender engine worked its first passenger trains for 17 years.

These excellent images, courtesy of ML Photography, show the engine at a variety of points on the line, brightening up the valley on a cold and cloudy winters day.

78022 is seen at Mytholmes Curve and Oakworth Bank working its trains to Oxenhope from Keighley.

It is great to see 78022 back in action, and we are really looking forward to seeing the locomotive in action in late 2018/2019.

Photos are both courtesy of ML Photography, please see their page for more photos like this!
