The Spa Valley Railway have announced that they have started a recruitment drive for helpers to restore Newstead.
This locomotive has recently arrived at the railway from the Nene Valley Railway and now it needs the help of volunteers to work on her to bring her back to life.
Volunteers will be able to choose the livery and also be the first ones to drive this lovely locomotive.
At the Spa Valley Railway, locomotive overhauls are all lead by volunteers, no skills are needed and full training will be given to volunteers.
