An update on steam locomotive 5239 Goliath – 14th November 2018

The has released a short update on the work taking place on steam locomotive 5239 Goliath.

This week has seen all of the crowns stays removed, this just leaves a few to keep the firebox in place.

5239s valves have returned from Tyseley. These valves have had new rings made and fitted.

These have also been fitted into the locomotive.

The cylinder cocks have also been refitted after being overhauled.
